I think KSS should provide data from the project’s package.json to the builder.

@ryuran - agreed that this would be cool for KSS to provide, this repos just for our little custom builder, but that should be easy enough to implemet at the kss level.

I made a metalsmith plugin a while back that aimed to do the same thing in that context.

The logic for reading package.json and importing the keys should be pretty directly portable.

I'd be happy to spin up a PR sometime.
Since that would be very useful.
In addition one of our bigger unmet needs with KSS is passing of arbitrary env variables (as i not part of it's config) to it.

It would be great if say in kss-config.json there were a variables key that we could pass an object to (ad of course --vars=? command line support so tools could benefit from this too.
