Hey,
for just such an application I ported the fedora mesa patches to ubuntu noble. You can check the image here: https://quay.io/repository/fl0id/ubuntu-mesa-apple/ubuntu-mesa-patched

I have tested basic things, like the graphics device does show up, but haven't test much in terms of apps yet.
