Good evening everyone, I would need to know if there is an instruction manual to know how to operate the individual programs or the individual operations that can be done.
What does 1 2 3 passes mean?Because one does it in several passes and then that's it, the others don't do it in a total of three passes. Then I have the problem that it is moving freely with steps of one millimeter. I practically have the Z motor making a lot of noise and it seems that at maximum speed it stalls. Can I make some adjustments? The motor is a stepper Open loop 8 00 step and I put 1000m step time and tell me the weather acceleration from 25 to 10 but the noise does not change.Finally it seems to me that backlash is only compensated on one side I'm having a hard time understanding how it works.Thanks again Maxim for the amazing and powerful work you have done!

If your motor stalls then consider reducing acceleration or maximum speed in the code. If you are using cheap unbranded stepper driver then maybe switch to a higher quality branded stepper driver. Ideally just use a closed loop motor.

Backlash compensation works by traveling the specified distance (backlash) when you change direction before it starts counting the distance as travelled again.

Thank you for your reply and I watched the video but even doing what you show only the Gear function works for me The others for example face or turn I set all the parameters but after giving send I turn on the spindle but nothing moves I saw in the video that you set the diameter but with which button? I'm starting to suspect that I have the encoder channels inverted.If so, could that be the problem, i.e. the axes are positioned but not moving? It sounds like you need to swap the A and B channels on your spindle encoder terminal. Angle shown on screen should increment as you turn the spindle forward.

It's up to you to decide which version of software to use. Perhaps you can try and see which one you like more.
