Need Help with Camera Calibration

Hi everyone,

Has anyone managed to perform camera calibration successfully without issues? I’ve tried multiple methods, but I still can't get accurate or even close camera poses.

I followed one discussion that explained the steps quite clearly, but unfortunately, the results were still far off.

I'd really appreciate it if someone could share a working example, best practices, or anything that helped you get correct calibration results. I’m especially interested in how you collect data and set up your multi-camera system.

1. Use a checkerboard pattern to perform intrinsic calibration of the camera.
2. Collect several dozen points to carry out extrinsic calibration.
3. Record two points with a known physical distance to determine the scale factor.
4. At this stage, you’ve obtained the 3D coordinates of a point in the camera coordinate system.
5. Before moving on, perform ground plane alignment and set the ground origin.
6. Finally, transform the coordinates into your desired reference frame.
   The code contains a number of elegant details; you’ll need to study it closely to fully understand and master them.🔒
