Klipper fork

Anyone knows if there is anyone try to make a klipper fork for this machine?

I'm not sure the capability is there in Klipper yet. Why would you prefer to use it?

I have never used RepRap before and I don't get it. Of course I can learn it. I need to in some way combine the files included in this project with a config for DUET2 MB, cause it is the board I have for this. Choice nr 2 is a Manta board with CB1. But for running RepRap Fw the DUET2 is more suitable.

It would probably be simpler to use RRF, as I already have already made the config files for the printer. But feel free to try use Klipper and let us know if it works!

There has been a few "more axis on klipper" thing
https://github.com/naikymen/klipper-for-cnc/tree/pipetting
but it also doesnt have polar system integrated so you'd have to set it up yourself? i guess?

The polar part is actually handled on the slicing level. The printer just needs to be able to accept Gcode with 4+ axes (eg. 'G01 C0 X0 Z0 B0')

Another thing that you would have to make sure your firmware can handle: the X and B axes are not directly mapped to a single motor. ie. to move the X axis you need to move two motors at once. RRF allows you to define a motor <-> axis matrix that allows mixing different motors together to move a single axis.

I am aware of this, so I try start with RR but my goal is to run Klipper in the end. Either way I have to learn programing both

Just giving this a little bump, as I am interested in this same topic. Looks like the klipper for cnc is a great starting point. I think I will try to get a basic hardware build going first on my end and then start tinkering with klipper adaptation. In the meantime, please share if anyone else is also working on a klipper adaptation for this machine!
