My text input is overwriten by Term::cout

Hello,

Im trying to make console app where my main thread is doing some calculations and prints stuff with Term::cout and
other thread is reading text input with Term::cin

the problem is when Im typing a command and new log comes to the console, my text gets deleted and appended to beginning of the log.

Is there any way to prevent that ?

Also I found weird think, if I type something, its twice in the console

hello, thx for the report. Could you give more information about the system, libraries etc you are using?

One of my guess is that you logger is written to std::cout and you are written to Term::cout.. Both are different and are not waiting each others.

I think it's a general problem, using only std::cout will have the same effect I think you need to use mutex to avoid such problem. Maybe we could do some things on the library too to improve the problem

I tried it on windows msvc with ninja, but I already removed the lib because Term::cout or Term::cin does not do anything in Debug configuration, it just does not print anything.

Also I was only using Term::cout for printing and also Term::cin in another thread.
So Im not sure whats the issue.

What is the difference betweet Raw and Cooked ? I tried both with no different behaviour.

the asd as you can see in the image is when I have something written in the console without hitting enter and next Term::cout comes in, it. just gets appended to a begining of the cout

Oh also maybe the not priting in debug has something to do how I load the program.

Your lib is linked to my dll and that dll is loaded at runtim in another exe.
Everything built in same configuration
