Dear @julian-r,

Thank you for providing a compiled version of file for Windows.
It works as expected on Windows 7 SP1 x64.

$ file.exe file.exe
file.exe: PE32+ executable (console) x86-64, for MS Windows, 6 sections

$ file.exe -bi file.exe
application/vnd.microsoft.portable-executable; charset=binary

Right now it's v5.44, but Wikipedia reports that v5.46 is the latest one.

When can we expect it to be here?
