Technical requirements for New Parkway

@mikeal, I have couple questions regarding the technical setup at New Parkway:

• are we recording talks?
• what's the desired resolution of the slides that will be displayed by speakers? (assuming 16:9)
• are we going to have lavalier or a hand-held microphones?
• assuming we will have adapters for the speakers to use?
• is there going to be someone responsible for AV or we're handling it ourselves?

I'm talking to ACA now about the cost of that.

what's the desired resolution of the slides that will be displayed by speakers? (assuming 16:9)

It's be VGA so, not super high resolution or anything like that. At the end of the day you always end up scaling down to VGA because HDMI is too unreliable.

are we going to have lavalier or a hand-held microphones?

We have countryman mics and lavalier mics. The MC will have a handheld mic with an on/off switch on the mic for ease of handling.

assuming we will have adapters for the speakers to use?

Yup, i have a box of adapters, splitters and such to test out at the venue.

is there going to be someone responsible for AV or we're handling it ourselves?

Our rental comes with a projectionist, so we'll have help, but we'll probably still be managing some of it because some of it is our equipment.

We will hopefully have reliable internet for speakers but not for attendees.
