Is there more documentation on the settings?

Because most things are a wrapper of the C function calls, it's kind of difficult to determine which settings which actually make a difference in the output of the video. Is there some resource I could look at to get a better understanding of what settings are necessary for each component. In the examples, how did you know that bf, psycho_aq, and lookahead were possible settings for the example.

We are still trying to figure out on how to document this properly. Each encoder has hardware specific settings, so hard coding for setting keys for example with an enum is quite difficult. Something like the setting "preset"/"profile" is always available though. You can get all properties of that using the appropriate functions (don't know the name right now).

Maybe you've got a suggestion to this problem?
The only solutions I can think of are:

• Read each encoders code bit for bit and hardcode the settings, include a enum variant for other custom settings
  (something like the source builder)
• Get properties dynamically, make the profile property the only one hard coded, provide easier ways to get the properties / their description

Are you talking about the rust wrapper for the encoder or the OBS source code encoder?

The properties helper function itself are available on the wrapper crate, if and when implementing the hard coded approach, that'll probably be done in the libobs-sources crate
