Is there any way to be able to open the HA notifications from the navbar?

I just swipe in from the left, but agree the ability to open notifications from a button (as the Mushroom chips card can for the side menu) would be cool.

Might need to give it a try, Home Assistant docs are not the best when it comes to "niche" functions like this though, but will definitely try.

i tried your suggestion but does not accieve what i wanted,my whole point with using the sidebar was to disable the sidemenu and header bar using kiosk mode but if i do that i am unable to trigger the menu even if i use the hold action ,in my case this makes the navbar redundant since i have to keep the sidemeu active anyway :(

Now im stuck at trying to make some items not overlap at the bottom but im a total noob so this is not easy to figure out for me even tho you posted the fix i cant figure out how to implement it
