Thanks for this project. Very helpful. We talked on adobe forum. Here's a hotfolder version that also uses imagemagick to create a ppm file that is embedded in the doc. If you find it useful and have something to add or fix let me know.

It ends up looping twice i think because i added " app.runMenuItem(stringIDToTypeID("placedLayerUpdateAllModified"));" on line 184 of the engine script, based off [Stephen_A_Marsh]'s suggestion
