A long time ago I tried to have the OpenGL output only update the menu and black borders when necessary. That's been problematic. GPUs are are lot stronger than the early 2000s so perhaps it's time to just have it draw everything every frame. |

When using the current (6.3.3) Reshade with the current (2025.02.01) Dosbox-x SDL2, the black bars left and right (4:3 ratio of DOS) turn into white (with ghosting of the Reshade interface; however a screenshot shows only black bars). This happens both with OpenGL and Direct3D9. In Dosbox-Staging, the bars remain black.
