OmniBox has a Twitter profile (and 0.9.9 sneak peeks)

In a quest to get the word out about OmniBox and be able to engage with users at the same time, I created a dedicated OmniBox profile on Twitter.

I will still continue posting roadmaps and release changelogs here and on Reddit. Twitter is the way to go for day-to-day developer updates (and to provide feedback on them!).

Looking at 0.9.9

On that note, 0.9.9 is blasting along. Releases up to now have been about a month apart; the back-end Fusion model changes that I made during 0.9.8.1 allowed me to do much more in this release.

Highlights

There's more on Twitter, but some highlights:

• Rearranged, neater interior
• More lower bay tray mounts
• CPU bays on both sides; spare can be used as a side panel
• Optional mount for RGB LEDs behind the front panel vents (supported in both Marlin and Klipper)
• Universal power supply mounts
• Over 20 locations for anchoring zip ties added to the main body
• Bottom panel to protect the underside of the case (and curious children)

In Progress Features

• Brass heat set inserts are in testing
  • Currently for the lid, rear panel, display, and MCU only
  • Inserts will be optional
• Further additions to the documentation
  • Better link maintenance
  • Updated renders across the site
  • Documentation photos extracted from Fusion (instead of pictures)

Release Date

No release date is set yet due to the quantity of changes to test and document. I'm taking a cautious approach, so mid-November is the earliest target.
