`notify()` error on WSL2 and static binary

I'm running Castor in WSL2 (Ubuntu), installed by downloading the static binary from Github.

I get this error when trying to use notify:

14:49:03 ERROR     [castor] Failed to send notification: phar error: attempted to extract non-existent file or directory "vendor/jolicode/jolinotif/bin/wsl-notify-send/wsl-notify-send.exe" from phar "/usr/local/bin/castor"

My Castor is not a Phar, as the error say 🤔

/usr/local/bin/castor: ELF 64-bit LSB executable, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), statically linked, stripped

What version did you choose? Can you try another one (If you took linux, try windows, or the opposite)

My Castor is not a Phar, as the error say 🤔

For castor as a binary, we put the castor phar into an executable. That's why you see this error.

There is no windows static binary, so it is the linux one, which makes sense under wsl. But since it's the linux one it does not include the windows binary for notification.

There is 2 possible resolution :

• Having a specific binary for wsl that include the .exe binary for notifications
• Include the .exe binary in the static linux one
