All of my work is gone

I had worked on a diagram with multiple pages on pedigrees over a week ago and have never closed the tab. Now first time coming back to it, it is a blank untitled diagram all of my work is gone. How can I retrieve it? I was signed in with my google account while making it.

Look in drive.google.com under recent to see if the file is there.

What kind of file would it have saved as if it is there? My drive is full of stuff and it would take very long to look through it all without useful filters.

OK, where did you save it to then?

I thought I saved it to google drive. However it also would say saved changes on the diagram itself so I would think it is saved but it is no where
