Grouped Object Connection Points

Hi,
I'm new to Draw.io and have a problem that is really holding me up. I want to create an Group that is made up 3 objects. When I do this and try to make connections to and from these groups the arrows tend to want to connect to Subobjects or members (my phrase, is there a better phrase to label the things that make up a group?) of those groups and not the exterior of the group.
So I played around with the Edit Connection Points and got rid of every point on the Subobjects that the connectors still try to connect to the subobject.
I'm attaching an image that illustrates my problem.

I have eliminated all the connection points on the text box that says Winbourne @ Ardenwood but it still tries to connect to that and not the outer area.
Please forgive my poor vocabulary about it, I'm not an experienced draftsman by any stretch. Any help would be appreciated.
