"Continue on error" for copy jobs with multiple books that fails because of content errors

Description

• When transferring a large number of books to the device (using conversion to kepub that requires a lot of time and proccesing), it would be beneficial to have an option where you are able to skip books with content errors and continue with the rest.

• Also, books with errors should be listed in the job log.

How useful could this be

Since a conversion to kepub could take several hours and the job may break without further notice you loose all that work for nothing.

I'm willing to coorporate or implement these myself but would like some help with pointers where to begin ie what class methods to work with and a possible architectural description how Calibre interacts with the kobo driver in general.

I like the idea but I'm not sure when I'll be able to get to it.

Calibre doesn't interact much with the driver itself, it's more that calibre calls the driver and the driver reports back to calibre. The entry point for that is in _modify_epub() in device/driver.py, and a lot of common code is in container.py or common.py. There's already a basic attempt to skip failed conversions, but it's not robust against exceptions thrown within calibre (which is where a lot of content exceptions tend to be thrown).

For reporting failures, the job should be marked as failed if any conversion fails but there may be some inspiration we could take from the fanficfare plugin for displaying a log of which books are successful and failed.
