Buttons don’t seem to respect padding in certain circumstances

Despite my cards having "padding: 1% 2%", which is enough for the text to be on one line, they will often end up as two lines.

This most often occurs when following a link within home assistant to a new dash and the going back. Also sometimes happens when just opening the dash for the first time.

Any idea how to fix/prevent this?
