The amazon parser no longer works for US amazon.

Not sure if it was just me, but it seems that Amazon upgrades the invoices page and the Amazon parser no longer works.

I tried downloading invoices from Amazon but the 'view invoice' button is taking me to 'order details' which is a completely different display compared to the actual invoice. Is this what you are seeing? This is for my personal account, not a business account. Last time I tried was early April and it worked fine at that point.

The 'View order details' and the 'View invoice' buttons take me to the same 'Order details' page. This raises suspicion that this is a bug on Amazon's side.

That is what I saw too. Amazon is probably getting rid of the "Invoice" page.

I'm thinking we ought to reach out to Amazon. I've called them and the person on the phone said it would be fixed within 24 hours. That didn't happen but I bet if some more people call they might decide to keep the invoice around.

I hit this issue today and did some sleuthing (more than I probably should have) and found this amazon forum post that describes the problem around the same time frame. It revealed a few interesting things:

• Apparently this issue has popped up before and been corrected
• You can still get the old invoice page using a mobile web browser (an extension called Mobile View Switcher was recommended to get mobile view on desktops--this worked for me)

I was able to get in contact with an Amazon representative via their online chat system and submitted screenshots of some orders to demonstrate the problem. After walking through some troubleshooting steps to narrow things down, the representative I spoke to handled my reports like there was indeed an issue with the website. That's no guarantee this is accurate to the technical department's vision, but maybe hope that this is a bug rather than a planned change.

UPDATE: The mobile web browser trick to view the old invoice format no longer seems to work. That's some really suspicious timing relative to my interaction with the Amazon representative...

Another forum post identified a workaround--you can still use this URL to get the old invoice formatting.

I've had success wedging this into finance-dl to download them in bulk.

The above URL works for me. Since the legacy in the URL, I guess this is a planned change.
