Best CPU for JAX compilation

Im working on a project with a complex piece of JAX code that still requires a lot of editing and recompilation. Looking to buy a new CPU... on my current multicore machine I see little evidence of multiple cores being used during JAX compilation; so straight up single core performance benchmarks are the number to chase, I guess? Or is there any particular setup that is known to stand out? I suppose the upcoming m4 should be at the top if it delivers on the expected +20% single core performance?
