Transition Plan

So as I have already said a few times in PRs, AUR comments... I've been real busy lately studying and I don't have a second free until ~5th Jun (gonna be celebrating the end of exams so likely won't be free that same day).

The point is that I've been delaying a few things and I'd like to write them somewhere while exposing the plan of the issues I need to work on. I'll edit this list as things come to head, it's also sorted by priority:

1. Quick check and push to the AUR Fixes the first two lines in the sha256sum #34.
2. Release on the AUR memory issues regarding fix: memory leaks and memory access errors #32, (bump patch prob).
3. Fix the AUR's -bin pkg checksums along that release.
4. Investigate Cannot enable lidm on Void Linux #29 on a VM.
5. Address the contribution guide and formatting rules to be consistent (Code formatting #30 and UI improvements #31).
6. Reorganize the readme to be slightly more formal and structured.
7. Go down the rabbit hole of why all PR workflow checks stopped running or at least being linked to the PR status.
8. Rework the whole src/ui.c file.
   1. Currently it's a mix of field "abstractions", magical fn's to update certain components and a mess that I can barely remember.
   2. A lot of snprintfs all over to get the buffer to allocate and then format that, abstract that too. (for the record, asprintf seems to be just what I need)
9. Learn to use Valgrind and check for memory issues and other stuff.
   1. Consider making a CI job for this

On a sidenote I'll have to update my 4-month outdated artix system and clean up my accumulated ignored mail inbox. That might make me delay this a bit more.

(gonna call this "Transition Plan" as I want to modernize lidm a bit and it reminds me of the Spanish Democratic Transition. I swear history exams driving me crazy)

Glad to see stargazers rising right the day before the first day of exams (also hardest ones, only numbersnumbers then). It helps boost my ego confidence.

So summing up, literally can't find the slightest flaw in my math results.

Also figured out that math is counted on some degrees as an optional subject too, pretty much making it count x3. And now, the worst of maths, tech and physics doesn't count at all, so if math is higher than any of my physics or tech scores, I can stop worrying about the worst of those.

And physics also well, didn't have time for 15% of it, wild guessed a 10% and the rest felt good, made up several formulas (imagine forgetting $F_C = \dfrac{mv^2}{r}$ and making it up on the spot) and got nice looking results sooooo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I'll check results later this afternoon.

Might have a 65% perfectly. So no need to worry abt tech tomorrow. Would be nice to ace that too though. And I think I'ma already get plenty of score to enter spanish equivalent of CS.

Worst case exactly 65%, 5% of it was a stupid thing that might be correct. Another 5% was overreadimg and thinking it referred to field and not potential but the conclussion is the same so I might het something.

And I'm just worried if the reasoning of the exercises will be considered good enough. I think so.

They start calling for the tech last exam in 1h 8mins and then, 1h 38m from now I start it. 90mins as always and done.

scores been out since 10

• Spanish&Literature - 7.25
• Philosophy - 8.8
• English - 8.75
• Maths - 10
• Physics - 7.15
• Technology - 7.75

Each out of 10, and taking my mark for cs of software engineering or however it would translate I get a 12.232 over 14, last year's cut score was ~10.5, so I have plenty 😎
