Some Help With a 2 Color Moving Point Effect

I'm looking to create a moving point effect where one color moves from the top of an RGB strip to the bottom. This is my current code:

While this works, it blinks while it moves; I'm looking for more of the effect that occurs with the Rainbow Effect built into OpenRGB where it moves more smoothly and organically. Thoughts on where I should go from what I have?
