Can't install?

Working with Linux Mint, completely up-to-date, and I can't get around the error
ERROR: Invalid interpolation format for "app-h2" option in service "services": "${SPRING_SQL_INIT_MODE:-}"

when attempting to build it.

Any thoughts?
