Enhancement: Possible to add fade out/in to prevent clicks and pops when switching channels in mixer?

Switching channels mid sample with audio playing can result in clicks and pops. Adding a small (few ms) fade out on previous channel / fade in on new channel would prevent this?

Yes, I was thinking of this feature too. But it should be implemented in https://github.com/izzyreal/mpc rather than vmpc-juce, because it's not something that is specific to the JUCE implementation.

Not sure yet about the details of a good implementation. The design should be such that a fade may cover multiple buffers, which means something needs to track this fade.

Maybe a good place would be https://github.com/izzyreal/mpc/blob/master/src/main/engine/Voice.cpp.

No worries, it's normal in this project. Maybe I'll create a GitHub project sometime to overcome this. For now, when I or somebody else will start working on this, and it's 100% sure that it will happen in mpc rather than vmpc-juce, we'll just create an issue there, add a reference from here to there, and close the vmpc-juce issue.
