Performance and benchmarks: initial support

I am introducing initial benchmarks that can be used for performance evaluation, and to compare older versions of Yampa to new proposals (especially before PRs are accepted).

You are welcome to discuss what else should be included in those benchmarks, what applications should also be benchmarked, and to propose improvements to Yampa that increase performance.
