This quantity is a outcome of the transport equation for density based on electrons when the transport solver is not solving for each ion ionization state and then the electro neutrality constraint is used to get the ions composition with additional constraints as Zeff, density fraction, ionization equilibrium, ... |

The quantity does refer to free electrons. So its computation is unequivocal. |

In the
wall
IDS, we haveglobal_quantities/electrons/particles_flux_from_plasma
in "equivalent electrons". Is this meant to represent the flow of free electrons? Or the number of electrons carried by plasma particles? Or the actual electric charge being carried to wall by plasma particles? For example, if a W+8 ion arrives at the wall, does this contribute 0 (no free electrons), 66 (
74-8
electrons are accompanying the W nucleus), or -8 (we are removing 8 electron charges from the wall), or 74 (from the W nucleus charge)?Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
