Netlab connect on multiple devices

As title says. A way to connect on multiple devices at once, preferably using globs similar to netlab exec. It would need a config options for the preferred user terminal command to be spawned in execution before ssh connection is open. Saves shitloads of time.

Makes perfect sense (although not for me, see below). We could expand the functionality of netlab connect where if it gets a node argument that expands into more than one node it:

1. Tells user to use netlab exec if there are extra arguments
2. Executes whatever command to open a terminal window for every node and execute ssh or docker exec command

The "whatever command" would have to be specified as default parameter (with no preset value), so you could set it in user defaults or with an environment variable.

Tangential: what platform are you using? I'm using a headless Ubuntu server, so there's not much I can do (I gave up on using X server on MacOS).

So do I... And when I read this idea my mind went to tmux (or screen).

That could work perfectly on a headless scenario (instead of having multiple connections and then run netlab connect on each of them)

Tangential: what platform are you using? I'm using a headless Ubuntu server, so there's not much I can do (I gave up on using X server on MacOS).

Im using Linux desktops / laptops for everything. I use KDE on desktop, on laptops I use sway, figured out I don't wanna pay the energy price of running a full desktop environment, although power drain got better with those DEs in the last years. Still nowhere close to a OSx desktop power drain, but there HW is playing a role too.

Im running netlab locally most of the time. So lots of options for me. For remote servers, Stefano's point that tmux might to a good job is worthy of exploring.
