Android: Clicking on Notification does not open the app

Like I mentioned in the title, I receive the notifications but it doesn't seem to open the app. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Here's how my AndroidManifest.xml looks like.

https://github.com/zoontek/react-native-bootsplash/ works fine with react-native-firebase and notifee at least, and has a nice CLI to generate the splashscreen

Your manifest seems okay, not sure what's going on but it should work, it works for me

You might try adb logcat on a device while it's plugged in to your machine so you can see if something gets chucked in to the logs.

I did adb logcat and searched for FCM in my terminal and here's what I found. Does this tell you anything? Thank you very much!

I would not restrict to FCM or just I/W I would make sure it was a completely unfiltered logcat trace - this one does not tell me anything, but unfortunately the absence of something won't be conclusive - I was hoping for some sort of positive confirmation of a problem via a stack trace, but we may not see that
