Hi, I get this error after signing in

In my case, the Bundle Identifier in XCode project was different from what I had configured in firebase console.

What's the service id? Is it the bundle identifier or the id of the apple key used in the configuration?

Hi all, I'm having a similar problem, when I put the Service ID in firebase my Android login starts working but my iOS login starts returning the error:

[Error: [auth/invalid-credential] The supplied auth credential is malformed or has expired.]

But if I remove Service ID from the firebase dashboard, my iOS login starts working but my Android login starts returning the following errors:

[Error: [auth/invalid-credential] The supplied auth credential is malformed or has expired. [ The audience in ID Token [com.mytoken.android] does not match the expected audience. ]]

Could anyone help me with this?

@murilopf-up I had a different error message, but I think the same situation as you. With the app's bundle-id in the Firebase "optional" services ID, or nothing, the iOS app works, but not Android or web. They require the "services ID" which can't be the same as the app's bundle id. Catch 22!

This Stack Overflow answer mysteriously solved it for me - https://stackoverflow.com/a/72048783/209288. You have to add an "iOS App" configuration to your Firebase project. As soon as I did this, while still having the real "Services ID" configured for web/android then the iOS app works too. I have a React Native app, so I skipped the steps in the Firebase setup prompts about downloading the plist and installing the iOS libraries, and was pretty surprised that the Invertase libraries are also "fixed" in this way.

I honestly don't know how this fixes the problem (which I hate) but I added and removed it several times to prove this was what was working, and it seems to be the solution.

I've no clue how to solve this issue. Btw the error on my side says: [Error: [auth/invalid-credential] The supplied auth credential is malformed or has expired.], upon sign-in with Apple.

What is indeed surprising, is, in my case, the problem automatically gets resolved after a couple of hours. No services ID added in firebase console, no other stuff changed/modified. I wonder what the real problem might be.

hey, sorry for the late reply.

I solved my problem by double-checking all the settings and found a typo in my app's package name in the project settings in firebase (there was an unnecessary capital letter).
I generated new info.plist with the package name the same as elsewhere and it worked for android and ios.

In my case, this error was thrown because I used the email multiple times for testing. when I use another email it worked perfectly.

Hey, the massage said that maybe your configuration is not valid anymore. Try to download again google-services.json and replace the old one.

What worked for me was to reconnect/reconfigure the connection to the Firebase, I am using Flutter and flutterfire.
using flutterfire configure and choosing the right project solve the problem
