I searched for an answer to this, so my apologies if I missed it.
In VirtualBuddy, I added my Mac user's Dev folder as a "Shared Folder" to the VM's settings. The Dev folder is currently set to "writable" in the VM's settings.
In the VM, when I access the Dev folder through "VirtualBuddyShared" on the Desktop, I can see all my files. I can open code files. But when I double-click to open any Xcode .xcodeproj project file, I get:
"Project /pathtotheproject/ProjectName.xcodeproj cannot be opened because it is missing its project.pbxproj file."
However, if in the VM I use CMD-K to connect to my Mac's User folder, everything works as expected. I can open .xcodeproj projects just fine.
I'm just curious as to why this is. How is VirtualBuddy's Shared Folders different from using CMD-K within the VM itself?
