Disable virtualbuddy from generating machine thumbnail preview

Hello,

First of all I want to thank you for such an amazing application.
I have an issue with virtualbuddy on my mac mini with m4 - when I open virtualmachine and phpstorm - when the current preview thumbnail of virtualmachine is previewing the phpstorm it loads very slow until crash. Is there a way to disable virtualbuddy from generating the image thumbnail of virtual machine? I do not need the image preview state of my virtualmachine for every step I am working on in virtual machine. I am ready to pay for this feature - thank you for your responses!

Hello,

Yes, I plan on implementing the option to disable that entirely, as well as a more reliable mechanism that uses the guest app for it.

Right now I recommend trying out the latest beta release of VirtualBuddy which uses a different method for taking screenshots, as it's possible that this won't have the same adverse effect.

Thank you for your response. I just installed latest beta release (Beta 2.0 210) where I saw the screenshot is not live anymore which is good but if I leave phpstorm for a while on screen it starts moving veeery slow - I don't know why, I think I tried everything - removed plugins, disabled indexing, increased memory on the app from Phpstorm -> Help -> Change memory settings to 8 gb ram and it is still moving slow. If I switch to another app and leave it for 3-5 seconds on screen e.g. Google Chrome and then go back to phpstorm it starts work normally but for a limited time.
Let me know if you need more details on this or if you need something, I really want to use this software for it's simplicity - it is really great - thank you

I forgot to ask before but are you sure this is caused by the thumbnail generation? And is phpstorm running in the virtual machine or the host Mac?

Hello and thank you for your help. From my investigations these day I can say the lag is not caused by the thumbnail generation. Phpstorm is running in the VM. The issue is with the phpstorm, I already submitted a ticket to jetbrains support. I hope they will help me with this. I have installed vsCode and works smooth, easy and fast on VM so the issue is with phpstorm - I will let you know once I receive a response from jetbrains support.- thank you

I would love to see an option to turn off the thumbnail also. I also would say awesome application. A few things I would like to see would be hardware acceleration/hypervisor extensions on MacOS (I know Apple limitation right now) and Windows VM capacity other than that it is my go to for virtualization.
