Have you tested that this is not an upstream issue or an issue with your configuration?
- I have tried reproducing this issue in Chrome and it could not be reproduced there
- I have tried reproducing this issue in ungoogled-chromium and it could not be reproduced there
- I have tried reproducing this issue in Helium with a new and empty profile using
--user-data-dircommand line argument and it could not be reproduced there
Description
Middle click paste still occurs when autoscrolling on Linux
How to Reproduce?
- Open a long web page that you can scroll through, containing an input
- Focus on the input
- Perform an autoscroll
- Release the autoscroll near a focused input (this isn't necessary though if autoscrolling on Discord, see the video)
Screencast.From.2025-10-23.21-56-10.mp4
Actual behavior
When autoscroll is released, it performs middle click paste, making it frankly annoying when autoscrolling with a focused input around.
Expected behavior
It shouldn't perform middle-click paste.
Additional context
very much aware that this is actually a Chromium issue here (because Brave has the same patch reenabling autoscroll), but since it is a flag that's been intentionally shown and enabled by Helium I feel it's worth mentioning somehow.
