I suggest that the color of the dots used to indicate the resource stacks be a little darker gray than the resource generator color.
Also, if the size of the resource generator representation is increased (3 pixels by 2 pixels, see here: #4746), the resource stack dots should always be displayed over the resource generator even when the stack is located behind the resource generator on the adventure map.
I also suggest using a third, more darker color of gray for Artifacts and Treasure Chests.
I think the creature generators on the adventure map and the Genie Lamps could also be indicated by dots of a darker gray color than the color of the Treasures Chest and Artifacts.
Another, more darker color of gray could also be used to indicate the Wandering Creatures which are also not currently indicated.
All these dots of different colors of gray should also always be displayed over the resource generators even when the objects are located behind the resource generator on the adventure map.
Also, on the sea, Sea Chests and Shipwreck Survivors should be indicated by dots of the same gray color as Artifacts and Treasure Chests.
Flotsams should be indicated by dots of the same gray color as the resource piles.
And the weekly resource generators (Water Wheel, Windmill and Magic Garden), should also be indicated by a gray dot of the same color as the resource piles, and dots of the player's color when they can be flagged and are captured by the player.
Stone Liths and Whirlpools (all squares) would also benefit from being indicated by light white to very light blue flashing dots on the adventure map.
Eventually there can be a setting that allows the user to display only certain dots and not the others at his convenience, for players who would not want a lot of dots on the minimap. :)
