Make ijkm range nonverlapping

Currently, the ijkm ranges of different threads overlap.
This can lead to some difficult to debug problems.
Sometimes, a nonoverlapping ijkm range is needed (e.g. the Boussinesq solver).
Could we make the default ijkm range nonoverlapping?
