how to reinstall hdfs when first failed?

several times, i add hdfs failed,and leave me with half compoment like only 'journal nodes'
i can`t delete cluster and serverce , also do not know where to reinstall hdfs

First stop all service role instance and delete it , Second delete the directory /data/dfs ,Finally add new instance again
