This week’s updates bring robust support for multimodal file uploads, enhanced prompt routing, seeded mentors for new tenants, analytics upgrades, and deeper platform-level configurability. Let’s dive in:

🧠 AI Mentor Enhancements

• Tool-Enriched Agent Prompts: Agents now use a TOOLSAGENTPROMPT_PREFIX directive to prefer tool-based answers when tools are available. Retrieval chains are configured to enforce at least one tool use per interaction.
• Multimodal File Uploads: Mentors can now accept video, image, and audio file submissions directly in chat. A maximum file size limit is enforced (default: 60 MB).
• New Public Suggested Prompts Endpoint: Anonymous users can now access suggested prompt data via the new PublicPromptView.
• AI User Profile Prompting: System prompts are dynamically enriched with AI user profile memory, enabling personalized response context.
• Consistent Output for Guided Prompts: Guided prompt generation now includes JSON output enforcement and model pinning across OpenAI and Google providers.
• Model Registration & Cleanup: Registered: Gemini 2.5, GPT-4.1, O4. Removed deprecated GRAQ and Flash experimental models.
• Seeding on New Tenants: Mentors are automatically seeded for new platforms with the SEEDMENTORSFORNEWTENANTS flag enabled.
• Improved Chat Memory & Long Session Handling: Chat history persistence and memory component logic have been upgraded to better handle longer sessions.

💻 Frontend Enhancements

Mentor SPA

• Receives edxUsageId and edxCourseId via LTI and attaches them to chat payloads.
• Now supports uploads of video, audio, and images directly in chat.
• Hidden buttons and links (like suggested prompts and prompt gallery) are intelligently removed when not relevant.

React Components

• Introduced the Program & Pathway Enrollment feature.
• Added new routing logic for /profile/pathways/assigned and /enrolled.

Skills SPA

• Optimized notification timing via REACTAPPNOTIFICATIONEXTRATIMEDISPLAYIN_HOURS.

Analytics SPA

• Enhanced grade accuracy in cohort manager reports.
• Stability improvements to tooltip closure, credential filters, and averages.

🧩 Backend & API Improvements

• MCP (Mentor Control Panel) Agent Support: Full server and model integration for managing agent mentor flows.
• Expanded Chat Context Tracking: edxUsageId and edxCourseId are now tracked across chat sessions.
• Catalog + Milestones: Added proper serializer annotations across views, and self-enrollment logic for pathways and programs is now more robust.
• Attendance App (New!): Introduced for managing per-user attendance in course blocks with strong serialization.
• AXD Enhancements: Web analytics permissions updated, and new mentor/session-level metrics aggregation models introduced.

⚙️ DevOps + Configuration

• Reverse Proxy Healthcheck Overhaul: Now supports 200 OK response codes. Exposes configurable ports via HEALTHCHECK_PORT and HTTP_PORT.
• Multimodal File Upload Limit: Added MENTOR_IN_CHAT_MAXIMUM_MEDIA_FILE_SIZE config flag (default: 60 MB).
• New JWT Auth Toggle: ENABLE_JWT_AUTH now defaults to true across environments.
