This week, we rolled out updates focused on observability, cost transparency, smarter data flows, and UI polish across all touchpoints. Here's the roundup 👇

🧠 AI + Langflow Upgrades

• Langfuse Everywhere: Mentor LLM calls now utilize Langfuse callbacks across Langflow and Langchain flows for unified observability and cost tracking.
• New Cost APIs: Added endpoints to retrieve mentor-specific and user-specific LLM costs — unlocking new analytics use cases.
• Enhanced data labeling in Langflow with session and username metadata.
• Updated Langflow flows and removed legacy initialization logic for cleaner call management.
• Introduced testing improvements and modularized ClickHouse-related logic for easier debugging and performance validation.

💻 Frontend Enhancements

Core Component Updates

• Improved language dropdown visibility and skill profile search responsiveness.
• Streamlined behavior in the Pathways section of user profiles.

Mentor SPA

• Introduced an error boundary to gracefully catch and report front-end issues.
• Enabled better scroll handling for long AI responses with math content.
• Improved dataset upload UI and optimized response rendering on mobile.

Skills SPA

• Refined SSO token handling for improved iframe compatibility.
• Polished layout in program and credential views.
• Enhanced discoverability and tooltip behavior across guided tours.

Analytics SPA

• Added support for course-based program creation and enhanced advanced search.
• Refined credential search, pagination, and updated scroll bar behaviors.
• Updated to the latest shared component version for consistent UX.

🗄️ Backend + API Improvements

• Mentor Cost Tracking: Server-side cost analysis is now available using Langfuse-labeled queries and optimized SQL endpoints.
• Search Overhaul: Personal catalog search now uses improved caching; use_department param replaced with department_mode.
• Credential APIs now return results in descending ID order and use a consistent pagination format.
• Media Catalog: Structural improvements and new Studio-facing xBlock features for managing media-rich content.

🛠️ DevOps & Infra

• CloudWatch Logging: Rolled out configurable CloudWatch logging across LMS, CMS, and supporting Open edX services for better observability in production.
• Cleaned legacy langflow web commands from the CLI while retaining migration toggles during the transition.
• Incremental CLI improvements across services and deployment commands.
