How to use regex syntax in "grep" picker without it auto-escaping?

Hi there, I was trying to use the grep picker, i.e. running :lua FzfLua.grep(), but it seems to always search for the literal string I enter at the "Grep For>" prompt, and doesn't allow using regex syntax, since it always gets escaped. I cannot figure out how to disable this. Same occurs if calling :lua FzfLua.grep({ search = 'my_search_term' }) (i.e. not using the prompt)

For example, if I run :lua FzfLua.grep({ search = 'Hello.*World' }) it auto-escapes it and actually does a regex search for Hello\.\*World which isn't want I expect.

I've scoured through the documentation, but have been unable to find anything explaining how to use regex syntax.

I am aware I can use live_grep, which doesn't do this auto-escaping, but I would like to use the grep picker as well, because the live updates caused by live_grep can sometimes cause small UI freezes on large projects (maybe a Windows issue...).

Can anyone suggest a solution?
