Autocommand not triggering

vim.api.nvim_create_autocmd('TabNewEntered', {
  callback = function()
    print("i am triggered")
    local current_dir = vim.fn.expand("%:p:h")
    vim.cmd.tcd(current_dir)
  end,
})

i made this autocommand to change the tabs directory after making a new tab. It is working fine when doing

:tabnew

However the autocommand doesnt seem to be triggered when using fzf-luas actions and pressing <C-t> to open the file on the cursor in a new tab. Is there something i can do to make this work somehow?

I tested just now. It's triggered for me.
It's triggered. But new tab is created by :tabnew |.. | edit filename, so you cannot expand correct bufname in autocmd.

You can chdir in an actions["ctrl-t"] = function() ... end

Aaah okay i understand. I understand there is a good reason for implementing it this way, instead of just :tabnew filename?
