Live Filtering with find & exec plus grep

Hi, i am trying to run the following as a live picker, was wondering even if there might be a way to optimize it in a way that the live part that is re-run is not the entire command i.e find in this case, when the query changes, but if the result of the find can be piped into ug and then reused for the duration of the live picking / greping, since the list of files does not need to be dynamic. Even better yet, a two stage picker would be the best option

This would have to be done at the the command level, redirect the find conditionally into a temp file, and then use cat, something like [ ! -f tmpfile ] && find … > tmpfile; cat tmpfile | ug …

Kind of works, however something is going on with query, if i try to search for *-sources.jar, the dash in the pattern might be getting escaped or mistreated by fzf-lua (and outside of fzf lua the pattern with dash works just fine in find) since it shows no results, however, *sources.jar works fine, further more if i enclose query in quotes in fzf-lua, it does not work.

Run it with fzf_live(cmd, { debug = true }) and explore the change:reload argument sent to fzf, you might need to shell escape it differently.

Just for future reference if someone reads this what i did is two stage picker, using the /tmp file as a bridge between the output of find and the input of ug, with xargs. Something like that in pseudo lua code
