Tx/rx not responding

hi i hope someone can help me? so i just changed from betafilght to inav all was working fine in bf but now i cannot get my tx/rx to work in the reciver tab. ive copied all the setting from bf(ie uart 2 is my serial reciver ect) intoinav but cannot get the rx to respond to my inputs.. i am using a speedybee f405 v3 with flysky fs-i6 x with a sbus rx. ive changed the serial rx in the reciver tab to all 6 utar but not getting any responce l.they are bound as the light on the rx is on with my tx on and flashes when off.the only thing I've not tried is connecting a battery. As in bf you don't need to do this and YouTube video clearly shows no battery connected i did try this. I am sure it's going to be something daft lol

You sure you have SBUS protocol in use? Try serial Receiver Provider on IBUS. That the way I'm set. And receiver type SERIAL.

Thanks yes that's how I've got it setup on uart 2,the same as it was on bf. The only difference is that in bf the msp and serial rx was on the same line but in inav it's not possible I'll upload a screenshot of bf and inav settings tomorrow. I am 100% it's right but also 100% sure I've done something wrong lol

no tx to rx and rx to tx on uart2 all works on bf no softserial as i am aware just dont get why in bf it works but not on inav? just messing with my head tbh.

ill try and disconect the yellow wire and see if that work, i cannot see it making a differance if bf works with it connected?

Sbus is inverted serial. The F405 chip can't do hardware inversion. So the only way to read Sbus on the raw UART pad (not the Sbus pad) is for Betaflight to bit-bang it in software.

That's assuming it's actually Sbus, not "uninverted" sbus or something else. You haven't mentioned what receiver you're connecting, or shown how you have it connected, or how you had in configured in Betaflight, so we can only guess at what you might have done.

Lots of guessing going on about what you may have connected and how you may have connected it, but the F405 can't read Sbus with its hardware UARTs. Not without having it first passed through a hardware inverter (on the Sbus pad).

Hi ya just to make before I dive in a mess this up my sbus has 4 wires, ppm signal port(yellow)ibus/sbus signal port (white)vvc(red) and and (black)
The wiring diagram for my board shows
Sbus (white) 5v (red) and grd (black)
I can work out the my yellow wire is the same as there white wire.black is the same. Leaving 2 of my cables left. Ppm signal and vvc.
On the board I need a 5v not sure what wite that is. And also depending on if what wire the 5v is ill still have a wire left over? Is this normal? Or am I looking to much into this and just change the my white wire that is my sbus cable that in soldered on to r2 pad and move it to the sbus. I do appreciate you help. Just want to make sure I do it right 1st time as it alot of work dismantling the done to get to the fc

VCC is 5V (or it may be marked 4V5). That's often red, but sometimes the colors are misleading - check the textual labels.

The ground (gnd) to ground. That may be black.

Sbus to the Sbus pad.

You aren't using ppm, so that won't connect anywhere.

Why don't you just use I-Bus instead, it's better than SBUS from what I remember.

You just connect the receiver IBus pad to the FC Uart Rx pad then set the Uart to Serial Rx and receiver protocol to IBus.

Emm I wish I did the soldering myself and understand how it's all been put together. This look like a major f up on my behalf. The picture of my wiring seam to be the same as ibus. I forgot to take note of the tx/rx settings before migrating to inav. I went into my tx setting to find out if it was on ibus or sbus. The tx indicated that sbus was inuse there for it presumed that what it was. However I did try ibus on uart 2 (the same pad I used for betafilght) and got no response still. I'll rewire it bk to uart 2 and flash my backup file of betafilght and see if i get i input. By rights it should work if not there coming going on with either my uart 2 pad or some sort of wiring. I'll report back after I get it back to the original condition before I messed it up thanks again
