This autoland is for fixed wings only. Not quads. |

Been doing a lot of AutoLands and "wish" the Mission files that we save had the Final Approach Length in them instead of a fixture belonging only to an FC. This may suit a Quad just fine but Fixed Wing are a little more "variable" in approach needs. This would avoid having to do a change in Configurator at the field before flying a different Mission.
Now we have part of the "fwapproach" in the Configurator and part in the Mission file.
The fields I fly at have different Final Approach Lengths due to physical & environmental features. In fact, on any given day the Final Approach Length could change due to wind differences alone. Being able to specify the Final Approach Length would permit having a different Mission for different conditions (not having to change the vale in Configurator each time). This value seems related more to a specific Mission rather than a specific FC.
As an example-this is the "fwapproach" info for one Mission...
The improved "fwapproach" info could look like this...(for a 700 foot approach)...
What say you Fixed Wing proponents?
