workspace switching disturbes hyprland-focus-grab-v1 clients

in qs, after marking a layer surface for grabbing focus, switching from a workspace with app to a workspace without app makes my input no longer targeting the layer surface and the focus will be taken away (but on qs, the onCleared signal doesn't seem to be called), it doesn't seem to be targetting anything, no apps will receive the input either, this persist until the app unregister/reregister the focus grab or mouse focus back on the surface, switching workspace back etc. doesn't fix it
