Native CSD Support in Hyprland like Niri

It would be incredibly useful to have native Client-Side Decoration (CSD) support in Hyprland, similar to how Niri implements it.

• title bar buttons
• automatic expand/snap on screen edge drag

why this matters:

• Dramatically improves user experience, especially for floating window setups
• Brings mouse-based workflows closer to traditional desktop environments (like KDE, GNOME)
• Makes Hyprland more welcoming for new users while keeping advanced configuration for power users

used Hyprbars for a while, and in my experience, native CSD support would be a great addition-especially for window resizing and dragging.

The main issue I faced was having to rebuild everything after each update. Managing plugins separately added to the hassle.

No not a window rule. Niri supports CSD by default, as shown in the video, along with features like resize, expand, and drag.

It can only be disabled using the prefer-no-csd option.

I'm requesting the same kind of support.

if anything, I'd do the opposite. Force no CSD unless you opt into it. CSD sucks.
