Workspace and Window Rules for blur

First off, being able to enable or disable blurs depending on the workspace rules, like you can with shadows currently.

This would be massive for my use-case where I have a blur for my layers, but would actually want it disabled on a workspace with no windows. I was hoping I could do something similar to the example smart gaps rules snippet on the wiki. But I have not figured out how, if a way does already exist.

Then for window rules it would be nice to be able to specify some of the blur parameters for specific windows. Maybe one window wants to be darker or lighter due to certain ways that given window deals with transparency etc.

This one will not be added.

With windows you can, with layers you can make a script.

But why can't layer rules have the same functionality as window rules? The inconsistency is a bit strange.

Why can't you just give me the common courtesy of an actual answer instead of just finding different ways to fob me off.
I'm wanting to know more about the underlying workings of the system and I'm just being met with short condescending responses like I'm wasting your time and I'm not worth the explanation. Really rubs me the wrong way.

If what you said is true and what I want to do with layers can be done with scripts then wouldn't it in the end be more optimal to have that sort of functionality baked into hypland itself. I understand it's not a feature that's currently available but I'm just trying to interrogate why it's not something that you think belongs in hyprland. I'm clearly missing some puzzle pieces of information here, which is why I asked. I can't know what I don't know, you know?

I am a busy man, and most people that come here do not want long answers. They want one, simple, dead straight to the point one.

Layers are desktop shell elements, they are not windows, they can't be moved, they shouldn't be decorated, and are made with the layer-shell protocol (see https://wayland.app)

Windows are toplevels, see the xdg-shell protocol for more info on the same website.

I am also unsure what syntax you're looking for for disabling blur on layers on specific workspaces. It makes little sense as layers are not bound to a workspace.

I understand that you're likely busy, sorry if I came off abrasive too in my response.

The reason I wanted to be able to turn off the blur depending on the workspace I'm on was because I use a blur for waybar. But wanted it to be fully transparent when on an empty workspace.
