wpaperd outputs inverted color in hyprland

Top one is the inverted one using wpaperd, bottom one is normal.

I'm using Hyprland on Windows 11 Pro's Hyper-V, running arch linux. Pretty sure wpaperd didn't implement a feature that gives the user the ability to invert colors but it does use a image library for rust which provides that ability.

I've tried:

• Restoring default Hyprland config file
• using hyprpaper, and the colors isn't inverted.
• Tried to install it on a fresh install of hyprland in a fresh install of arch linux, same problem
• Other Wayland WM i've tried: Sway, didn't have the problem

Anyways it's not inverted, r/b are swapped, likely some opengl shenanigans. Are you using legacy renderer?

Nope, i listed the packages, i'm using hyprland from the official arch repo.

Hyper-V is Microsoft's Type-1 Hypervisor for Windows, i'm running Hyper-V on Windows 11

sadly it doesn't work either, and huh, if you don't know then it might be on danyspin97's (wpaperd dev) fault. The software is pretty recent anyways, i'll go use something else then

The guy's using hyprland too and has... not my problem but a different one, the fuccy wuccy might be on my end then, probably virtualization issues?

Yup it was Hyper-V all along AHHHHHH sorry for wasting your time

Answer: Hyper-V has some issues with Hyprland's rendering, go use real hardware or other Virtualization Softwares
