Handling of "should be fullscreen" window - like the clean video feed of davinci resolve

Hi :)

Using Davinci Resolve on KDE let's me pick a monitor for my "clean video feed", this will open up a borderless fullscreen window on the chosen display to view my footage on.

Doing this on Hyprland will open a window that is "uncontrollable" by the compositor - no window border, unable to grab it / movie it... I tried writing a window rule to pin it to a monitor but that doesn't work since Davinci Resolve's menus use the same window name...

Is there a way to handle these "borderless-fullscreen" windows? Or can one be implemented?

Yes:

XWayland windows can control their positions etc, unlike wayland ones. It's likely DR has some garbage X code that forces its position.
