Not getting full refresh rate on mulit-monitor setup #10241
-
I just setup hyprland on arch on my framework 13 laptop. I use an eGPU on my desk for my 2 monitors, one being a 1080p60 monitor and the other being a 1440p240 monitor. The 1080 monitor is fine and so is the integrated display but my 1440p240 monitor is running sub 60hz. I tried kde to test and it was running at the full 240hz. I used wlr-randr and DP-6 is the monitor I'm having problems with and it seems that there are 2 modes preferred, the one I want is current but using the computer and by the glxgears output that is not true. It seems like there is something I'm missing or hyprland doesn't work great with eGPUs? I'm not too sure and was wondering if anyone could help. Here is some evidence and config below: hyprland.conf file
wlr-randr output
glxgears output

what gpu is your hyprland running on? My guess is your integrated one which cannot push 240hz for obvious reasons. |

in https://wiki.hyprland.org/Hypr-Ecosystem/aquamarine/#variablesIDK how KDE works, but it could use split rendering. We don't.
