yes, this exact glitch pattern appears for me too; specifically with no_hardware_cursors = 1 and reload of Hyprland. With other no_hardware_cursors values there are still glitches, but that particular pattern occurs with the aforementioned value.

Yep. no_hardware_cursors = 0 - no squares, following the cursor, no_hardware_cursors = 1 -squares always follow the cursor, no_hardware_cursors = 2 - First test - see the video, second test - no squares, until I spawned multiple notifications and clicked on them. The squares showed up only in the area where notifications were.

I am also getting this; bisected to the same commit about an hour ago, and have been looking into it. With all plugins disabled, I kept removing bits of my configuration / reloading Hyprland until I narrowed it down to decoration:blur and cursor:no_hardware_cursors - only these needed to differ from default config file for the visual glitches to appear for me. I looked at 0a7e2cb diff and sure enough, it involves blur and the cursor, among other things. I'm not sure of exactly what's happening, just that, starting with this commit and how finalDamage was removed, special workspaces / layers (anything other than a normal workspace position) can present these glitches.

I should also say I am on Nvidia card - perhaps you are too @izmyname?

I'm using a hybrid intel/nvidia laptop but Hyprland is forced to use iGPU (card1 is iGPU).

Another test: with blur: special = false most visual bugs are gone, except this one, on the video. It occurs only, if a transparent window (foot, in my case) is spawned on a special workspace and the cursor is being moved.
