Information from Anton:
The object number works like this:
In most cases, where a single object/building/wreck etc is being analyzed (e.g. 12001) the object number is equal to the project number but with an added A afterwards (e.g. 12001A). If there happen to be analysis on both the main building and a shed within the same project and site, the first building will get object number+A (e.g. 12001A) and the second building object number+B (e.g. 12001B).
For archaeological samples the principle is the same: if only one structure is investigated or the information from the archaeologist doesn’t say anything about different structures, the object number is e.g. 12001A. If we know that for example one bridge and one building is excavated the bridge will be tagged 12001A and the building 12001B etc etc.
Hopefully this explains it, otherwise I will try to explain in another way.
